GEMSTONE CERTIFICATION POLICY

3.1  Overview

Gemfinity International sources 100% natural, ethically acquired gemstones from Peshawar’s Namak Mandi market and Pakistani mining regions. All stones are inspected and graded in-house before listing. We offer two levels of formal certification for buyers who require documentation.

3.2  Local Pakistani Laboratory Certificate

Every GGI certificate provides a detailed assessment covering: species, variety, weight, dimensions, colour, clarity, and origin (where determinable). Each certificate includes a QR code that buyers can scan to independently verify the certificate’s authenticity and stone details directly from GGI’s records. Note: GGI is a Pakistani laboratory and its certificates are not issued by GIA, IGI, GRS, or other international bodies, though its gemologist holds an AIG (American Institute of Gemology) professional certification.

3.3  International Laboratory Certificate (GIA / IGI / GRS)

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ BEFORE REQUESTING INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION: No internationally accredited gemological laboratory (GIA, IGI, GRS, AGL) operates within Pakistan. To obtain an internationally recognised certificate, the stone must be physically sent abroad to the chosen laboratory. The process: 1. Buyer requests international certification at time of order and pays the fee 2. Gemfinity International sends the stone abroad to the chosen laboratory 3. The laboratory examines, grades, and certifies the stone 4. The laboratory returns the certified stone to Gemfinity International in Pakistan 5. Gemfinity International ships the certified stone to the buyer Estimated Total Lead Time:  4 to 6 weeks minimum Approximate certification fees (charged at cost): – GIA Colored Stone Report:   approx. USD 100–170 – IGI Colored Stone Report:   approx. USD 80–130 – GRS (GemResearch Swisslab): approx. USD 150–300 These fees are charged in FULL at the time of order and are NON-REFUNDABLE once the certification process has commenced, regardless of whether the buyer ultimately completes the purchase.

3.4  Pre-Certified Premium Listings

Select premium gemstones are listed as Pre-Certified and already carry an international laboratory certificate. These are ready to ship immediately with no additional wait time. They are priced accordingly and represent our highest-tier inventory.
